Teresa James sings like Janis Joplin meets Delbert McClinton and plays piano like Dr. John. Packed with swampy, Texas style blues, the soulful vocals on this CD earned Teresa James a nomination by the Blues Foundation for Contemporary Female Blues Artist of the Year last year. With the brilliant songwriting and tight arrangements of producer Terry Wilson and expert post production by award winning producer, John Porter, this is a CD you don't want to miss. Originally released by New Light Entertainment, Jesi-Lu Records is proud to make it available here.

"I've been a fan of Teresa's for a long time. I'm so glad to finally have this CD." Bonnie Raitt Teresa was born and raised in Houston, Texas and now lives in Los Angeles, California. When Teresa sings, you can feel it in your bones. ---Levon Helm

Teresa is where Texas meets New Orleans - funky and greasy - and everyone has a good time! Texas-born Teresa James has been called 'a singer's singer' - but James deserves wider recognition. One of the many highlights of this release is the opening cut, When the Winds Die Down, written by producer Terry Wilson (Teresa's husband). With its acoustic side and chugging rhythm, the song is a subtle slab of Delta Blues with a contemporary, relevant theme: Teresa James has the power and pipes to go as far as anyone has! She may not be a household name yet, but Oh Yeah! proves that she's working on it!
