Although the German-import price might be prohibitive for some, Kuschelrock Vol. 5 is a pretty good double-disc collection of mainstream pop hits circa the late '80s and early '90s. Some singles were more popular than others, naturally, but they generally fit well together, and it would be impossible to find even the biggest of these songs together on a collection released in the U.S. Just a few of those include Roxette's "It Must Have Been Love," Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game," Elton John's "Candle in the Wind," Bette Midler's "From a Distance," Paula Abdul's "Rush Rush," Stevie B's "Because I Love You (The Postman Song)," Lionel Richie's "Say You, Say Me," and many more. ---Steve Huey, AllMusic Review
