Sensibilisé au rock classique par ses frères aînés, Fred Chapellier se tourne d'abord vers la batterie qu'il apprivoise à partir de 1978. Il découvre la guitare en 1981 pour ne plus la lâcher. Fred Chapellier commence à tourner au début des années quatre-vingt-dix avec les groupes Kashmir puis Men in Blue. Ces nécessaires expériences aguerrissent Fred Chapellier qui forme en 1999 le Fred Chapellier Blues Band. C'est avec ce trio basse, batterie, et piano qu'il enregistre Blues Devil en 2003 et L'Oeil du Blues en 2005. Les récompensent ne tardent pas à Fred Chapellier est nommé « révélation de l'année » et « meilleur guitariste de l'année » par les Trophées France Blues en 2004.</p> <p>Devenu Fred Chapellier tout court, le guitariste tourne alors avec des bluesmen de renom comme Neal Black et Tom Principato avec qui il noue de solides liens d'amitié. C'est avec le producteur Jean Roussel qu'il rend hommage à son guitariste fétiche Roy Buchanan sur Fred Chapellier &amp; Friends: A Tribute to Roy Buchanan en 2007. Il rencontre sur cet enregistrement Billy Price qui chantait dans le groupe de Roy Buchanan. Une nouvelle fois le courant passe sans difficultés, à tel point que les deux hommes se retrouvent sur Night Work en 2009. L'expérience se poursuit par une tournée, dont les meilleurs moments se retrouvent sur Night Work Tour en 2010.</p> <p>Le nom de Fred Chapellier circule de plus en plus dans les milieux musicaux, ce qui éveille l'attention de Jacques Dutronc qui l'invite à venir préparer sa tournée 2009 dans son havre de paix Corse. Le CD et DVD Et Vous, Et Vous, Et Vous témoigne en 2010 de cette tournée et de la présence de Fred Chapellier. Jamais rassasié de la route, Fred Chapellier tourne ensuite avec Neal Black et le chanteur Nico Wayne Toussaint. Les trois gaillards sortent en 2011 l'album Live and More sous le nom B.T.C. Blues Revue. L'album live est complété par un CD de six titres enregistrés en studio.</p> <p>Toujours en 2011, Fred Chapellier et Tom Principato s'offrent quinze dates en commun immortalisées sur Guitars on Fire - Live at chez Paulette qui sort en mai 2012. Fred Chapellier s'est entre temps confronté aux meilleurs du genre lors de International Blues Challenge à Memphis (Tennessee) où il parvient en demi-finale. Sensibilisé au rock classique par ses frères aînés, Fred Chapellier se tourne d'abord vers la batterie qu'il apprivoise à partir de 1978. Il découvre la guitare en 1981 pour ne plus la lâcher. Fred Chapellier commence à tourner au début des années quatre-vingt-dix avec les groupes Kashmir puis Men in Blue. Ces nécessaires expériences aguerrissent Fred Chapellier qui forme en 1999 le Fred Chapellier Blues Band. C'est avec ce trio basse, batterie, et piano qu'il enregistre Blues Devil en 2003 et L'Oeil du Blues en 2005. Les récompensent ne tardent pas à Fred Chapellier est nommé « révélation de l'année » et « meilleur guitariste de l'année » par les Trophées France Blues en 2004.</p> <p>Devenu Fred Chapellier tout court, le guitariste tourne alors avec des bluesmen de renom comme Neal Black et Tom Principato avec qui il noue de solides liens d'amitié. C'est avec le producteur Jean Roussel qu'il rend hommage à son guitariste fétiche Roy Buchanan sur Fred Chapellier &amp; Friends: A Tribute to Roy Buchanan en 2007. Il rencontre sur cet enregistrement Billy Price qui chantait dans le groupe de Roy Buchanan. Une nouvelle fois le courant passe sans difficultés, à tel point que les deux hommes se retrouvent sur Night Work en 2009. L'expérience se poursuit par une tournée, dont les meilleurs moments se retrouvent sur Night Work Tour en 2010.</p> <p>Le nom de Fred Chapellier circule de plus en plus dans les milieux musicaux, ce qui éveille l'attention de Jacques Dutronc qui l'invite à venir préparer sa tournée 2009 dans son havre de paix Corse. Le CD et DVD Et Vous, Et Vous, Et Vous témoigne en 2010 de cette tournée et de la présence de Fred Chapellier. Jamais rassasié de la route, Fred Chapellier tourne ensuite avec Neal Black et le chanteur Nico Wayne Toussaint. Les trois gaillards sortent en 2011 l'album Live and More sous le nom B.T.C. Blues Revue. L'album live est complété par un CD de six titres enregistrés en studio.</p> <p>Toujours en 2011, Fred Chapellier et Tom Principato s'offrent quinze dates en commun immortalisées sur Guitars on Fire - Live at chez Paulette qui sort en mai 2012. Fred Chapellier s'est entre temps confronté aux meilleurs du genre lors de International Blues Challenge à Memphis (Tennessee) où il parvient en demi-finale.
