Marcus Løvdal band started in Kristiansand on the music conservatory just before Christmas in 2012, when Marcus took the initiative and were joined by Audun Barsten Johnsen, Jonatan Eikum and Lasse Kulsrud Nordby. Not long after they vocalist and guitarist Bjørn Ulvik Blix Lein joined the band. Marcus Løvdal band writer their own material and play some cover songs. They went right to the top in the Blues Cup Challenge at Notodden Bluesfestival 2013, in competition with bands from all over Norway. --- grappa.no
