"Susto" is the lp to go for.Sounds similar to Terumasa Hino's Merry go round which is possibly better known due to the jazz dance staus of the title track.A wash of electronic jazz sound with chattering guitars and a solid bottom end which hits a groove and stays on it.Heavily influenced by Miles Davis electric projects but with better dynamics and more focussed recording/production.Features a cast of all stars including Hancock,Airto,Grossman,James Mason,Liebman,Hino,Aiyb Dieng -list goes on and on.Bought a copy about 18 years ago and still play it now-highly recommended. ---Mike Peden, freeform.org

Masabumi Kikuchi was one of the greats in Japanese jazz for a long time. He recently died and to honor him, a number of his long out of print titles have been reissued. All are worth getting, but this one is the best of the lot! He started as a accompanist on acoustic pianist in the 60s and then later launched a band and a solo career.

Poo-Sun was his first solo album and also his first electric album. It was released in 1970 and heavily shows the debt of Bitches Brew era Miles. This features two keyboardists (on electric piano, organ and acoustic piano), sax, bass/electric bass, 2 drummers and a percussionist and is a stone killer of the style and the era. You dig Bitches Brew, early Nucleus, etc? You gotta have this one! Hugely recommended. ---waysidemusic.com
