Katsuya Yokoyama – Shakuhachi
Yoshikazu Iwamoto – Shakuhachi (3,5,6,7)

Ocora is known for the quality of the musicians the label produces. This one with Katsuya Yokoyama is clearly one of these. Yokoyama is considered one of today's five greatest Japanese shakuhachi masters, and he does not disappoint on this release; he is a master totally in control of his instrument, his art, and his craft, and especially of a tradition that is still evolving. Although Japanese are known to hold dearly to traditions, with regard to the shakuhachi, each master is able to add something of his own. Yokoyama does not disappoint in this respect. --- Bruno Deschênes

Tai Hei Shakuhachi - Japanese Bamboo Flutes is used as a tool for zen Buddhist meditation as well as playing classical, jazz & traditional Japanese folk music.
