Karl Kaiser - flute
La Stagione Frankfurt
Michael Schneider – conductor

Abel has tended to be dismissed as significant composer and relegated to a secondary rank. However, in listening to these four flute concerti, it would appear that such treatment is undeserved, and that Abel is one of those composers who for some inexplicable reason falls through the cracks and is largely ignored. Such fate is unjustified, as this CD will demonstrate.
