The French ensemble Café Zimmermann, conducted by violinist Pablo Valetti and harpsichord player Céline Frisch, is renowned throughout the world for the clarity and precision of its interpretations and its extraordinary collective virtuosity. This recording is the fourth volume of Bach's complete orchestral works, a series initiated by Alpha in 2001.

Café Zimmermann - kawiarnia Gottfrieda Zimmermanna, znajdująca się w Lipsku przy ul. Św. Katarzyny. W XVIII wieku Collegium Musicum, ufundowane przez Georga Philippa Telemanna i kierowane przez Jan Sebastiana Bacha w latach 1729-1739, dawało w Café Zimmermann cotygodniowe koncerty. Ich repertuar składał się z utworów Bacha i jego synów, Telemanna i innych kompozytorów.

Café Zimmermann - francuski zespół muzyczny, wykonujący muzykę barokową i klasycystyczną. Grupa została utworzona w 1998 roku w Rouen przez Céline Frisch i Pablo Valetti. W skład zespołu wchodzi pięć instrumentów smyczkowych, klawesyn oraz w razie potrzeby inne instrumenty.
